Graduated from The Citadel in
1975. He spent four years in active duty with the United States
Navy before attending and graduating from the Physician
Assistant Program at the Medical College of Georgia in 1981. He
was board certified through the NCCPA and worked with the
Department of Kidney Transplantation at Talmadge Hospital before
joining Family Practice Center in 1983.
Lisa Armstrong, RN, MSN, NP-c
Lisa Armstrong is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She received a Bachelor's in Biology at Rhodes College. She then went to Vanderbilt University where she received both her Registered Nursing degree as well as her Master of Nursing degree. Lisa has previously worked in cardiology at Piedmont Heart Institute as well as in cardiothoracic surgery with Peachtree Cardiovascular.
Amanda Howard, RN, MSN, FNP-BC
Amanda Howard completed her undergraduate studies at Wheaton College and her Masters of Nursing degree at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. She is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Prior to joining Family Practice Center, she worked at Siloam Family Health Center, a primary care clinic in Nashville, TN. She served as the clinic liaison for a city wide interdisciplinary team of medical professionals addressing the need for better preventative services for diabetic patients, and has served on medical missions trips to Ecuador, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. She is proficient in medical Spanish. In addition to a passion for medicine and health, she also enjoys running, spending time with family, being involved with her church, and doing creative projects.
